I think it's time.

The Xanga community is shrinking.  There is a group of faithful followers that keep it alive while everyone else has left for facebook and myspace.

Well, I think I'm going to hop the fence here...and start maintaining the myspace account that I set up long ago, but never completed.

I'm not quite ready to say goodbye to xanga completely....not just yet.  So this is my first step, acknowledging a future move.  Please don't be angry.

You can continue to track me on facebook.

Ciao!

Whoa!  My bad!  It's been over a month since my last post.

I've been doing a fair amount of traveling since my last post.  Today I am in Brockport, NY.  I just finished my 7th job fair of the spring.  I have two more left, both are next week.  Rhode Island College in Providence, and Paul Smith's College in Saranac Lake, NY.  The job fairs have been enjoyable...after all, I get to tell college students how they can have a summer that will change their lives forever (in a good way, of course).

In the midst of job fairs and spending time back in the office, I managed to escape the cold weather to take a 7 night cruise with my dad's family.  It was a great break from the cold.  The sun didn't want to cooperate too much, but I had no reason to complain; warm weather, family, the Caribbean...it was great.

As you can imagine, I've been more than preoccupied with sports lately.  The Cavs are getting hot.  The Buckeyes are making a run in the NCAA Tourney...and baseball season is only days away.  This can only mean that warm weather is on the way!!

Here's a little glimpse of the cruise.

I realize that it has been a month since my last update....so here is a quick little update.  I'll try to post some pictures, too, at some point soon.

After spending a month back in Columbus with family, I completed my move from Denver to New York about two weeks ago.  With two weeks behind me now in New York, I'm fairly well settled, and growing accustom to my new full-time position with the camp.

I live with a couple of guys (Steve and Pete) that I have known since Day 1 with Raquette Lake Camps back in June, 2000.  They have done more than enough to make me feel welcome.

During the week, I have been in the office, assisting with staff recruitment and any other way I can lend a hand.  Over the next month and a half, I'll be traveling to 8 or 9 universities, doing summer job recruitment fairs.

Yesterday I took the train into the city to meet up with a handful of friends from high school in Union Square.  We had some drinks together and took time to catch up.  After spending a few hours with them, I met up with some friends from camp for dinnerthat live in Manhattan.

It's great to be so close to NYC (just 40 minutes on the train into Grand Central)...and yet have the quiet of Westchester as a place to live.  It's the best of both worlds.

This week I'm traveling to Denver for the week to do job fairs at CSU, UNC, and CU-Boulder.  It should be a good week, and a great chance to see all my friends back in Colorado.  I'll try to update soon after returning.

Well, while I could sit and write about the painful trip I had to Glendale, AZ...how much it stung to witness first hand one of the worst offensive outputs in Ohio State football history...how an otherwise fun trip to Las Vegas and Arizona was spoiled....I will defer to something more light-hearted.

I need something funny and joyful at a time like this.  Seeing how popular my site became after posting pictures of my nephews...I think I'll do it again.

The same weekend I took the close-up shots of the boys, I also recorded this video of Grayson.  It's bound to make you smile...

Well, I made it back to Ohio safely, and in time for Christmas.  The two feet of snow that fell on Denver slowed me down a bit, delaying my trip for about a day.  I didn't mind too much, though.  The snow was amazing!

Christmas and New Years were both great.  I spent nearly all of the time with family...and it once again proved to be my favorite time of the year.

I finally got the chance to meet my newest nephew, Grier, who was born on October 10th.  Once home, I was quickly called upon to take some pictures of this chubby little man.  Here are some of the pictures of my nephews Grier (2 1/2 months) and Grayson (20 months).
